Her reviews (movies & music) appear in many newspapers & magazines. She currently writes for Entertainment Weekly.
Her ‘zine, Satan Wears A Bra, consisted of poetry, collage, short stories, lists, letters, comics, and reviews. DJ created all 5 issues by hand from a tiny Brooklyn apartment, then copied & distributed them throughout the world as part of the riot grrrl movement. Copies are now on permanent display at the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio. There are also copies in many university archives, including New York University & Duke University.
Her concept and screenplay for ‘Gigantic,’ a teen soap, was sold to TeenNick and turned into a series.
Born in Detroit & raised in Wisconsin, she currently lives in Austin TX with an assortment of plants, animals, and humans.
